Peak Credit LLC Buys Business Payments Company’s $1M Claim

January 10, 2021, New Jersey – Last week, Comdata Inc., one of the global business payments company, transferred its $1million claim in a bankruptcy case to a loan funding unit of Peak Credit, LLC.

On January 7, 2021, Comdata Inc. sold Peak Credit LLC the entire claim of $1,002,769.00 that it had filed against Debtor RTW Retailwinds, Inc. earlier.

By way of background, Comdata had submitted a proof of claim to the court overseeing the Debtor’s bankruptcy on October 21, 2020, as Claim No. # 695.

RTW Retailwinds, Inc. and its eleven affiliated debtors filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey on July 13, 2020.

The cases are pending before the Honorable Judge John K. Sherwood and are jointly administered under Case No. 20-18445. The law firm of Cole Schotz P.C. is representing the Debtor in the bankruptcy case.
