Jackson Walker LLP Appointed As a Counsel for Debtor and Debtor in Possession, Basic Energy Services, Inc., et al.
January 19, 2022, Southern District of Texas – Honorable Judge David R Jones approves the retention and employment of Jackson Walker LLP as counsel to the Debtors and Debtors in Possession, Basic Energy Services, Inc., et al.
As per the application filed by the Debtors with the United States Bankruptcy Court for Southern District of Texas, the retention of counsel is necessary to administer the Chapter 11 cases successfully and for the administration of the bankruptcy estate. The application also states that Jackson Walker LLP’s complex Chapter 11 experience, its extensive practice before the Court, and knowledge of the Bankruptcy Local Rules and practices make it substantively and geographically ideal to efficiently serve the needs of the Debtors. The application further adds that Jackson Walker LLP regularly represents Chapter 11 debtors in the Southern District of Texas and throughout Texas and is therefore well qualified by its experience to serve as counsel to the Debtors in these proceedings.
