EHT HIDHM, LLC Brings Alleged “Unjust Enrichment & Breach of Lease” Claims Against Delaware Based Hotel&Motel Operator
February 16, 2021, District of Delaware – Plaintiff EHT HIDH, LLC brings an action to recover damages for the alleged “breach of a lease agreement” against Defendant UCHIDH, LLC in EHT, USI, Inc., et al ( the “Debtor”) bankruptcy.
Allegedly, Plaintiff had entered into a long-term lease of a hotel property with Defendant. A third-party hotel management company managed the hotel. The complaint alleges that Defendant “wrongfully interfered” in the relationship between Plaintiff and the management company, allegedly resulting in the “blocking of Plaintiff’s access” to the operating accounts for the hotel and by “repeatedly interfering” with the normal operations and business practices by Plaintiff.
Through its complaint, Plaintiff seeks to recover the damages it suffered that were caused by Defendant’s “interference in violation of the lease.” Plaintiff also seeks to recover the security deposit that Defendant “wrongfully raided and depleted in violation of the lease.” Plaintiff was allegedly damaged as a direct result of Defendant’s “material breaches” for over $6,100,000.
